your vehicle. If you are involved in an emergency, drive off the road onto
the shoulder or as far off the road as you can, as soon and as safely possible.
Set up flares or triangles so they are visible to oncoming traffic and
identify your presence.
Make your notifications to people you know before travelling or beginning a
trip. Remember, dialling 192(fire), 191(police),
or someone
you know, that can connect you with the closest emergency dispatch. Be
prepared to give your location. Provide the name of the road you are
travelling, direction of travel, approximate distance from closest city, and
if passengers are also on board. . Please let someone know where you heading
before you set off.
If a tow truck is needed please inform the emergency unit, let it recover
your vehicle. You might increase the amount of damage by trying to free the
vehicle yourself.
